Wikipedia defines an ‘Unconference’ as…
“A participant-driven meeting. The term “unconference” has been applied, or self-applied, to a wide range of gatherings that try to avoid one or more aspects of a conventional conference, such as fees, sponsored presentations, and top-down organization.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference

The FileMaker community’s big conference every year is the annual Devcon sponsored by FileMaker Inc (this year in Orlando) and our main unconference is Pause on Error, a new edition of which was recently announced for Tulum Mexico in early April.
Pause on Error is inexpensive (at least as far as the conference fee is concerned), spontaneous, and can have some great content. It’s hard to say what the conference will be about in Mexico, since the attendees are in the process of brainstorming, suggesting sessions, and getting feedback from each other. The agenda will form up over the course of the next month via the event Slack channel.
I’m really looking forward to visiting Tulum and attending the unconference.
