Last week, Claris announced two exciting new initiatives, the first a new Software as a Service (SaaS) platform called Claris Studio, and the second a new program for helping Claris users get the most out of their solutions. We all know that Claris has added significant new capabilities in the last several versions of FileMaker Pro for creating custom web applications, especially with the introduction of the FM Data API in FileMaker 16. With the recent successful production deployment of a new custom web app project, I thought it would be a good time to write a blog post about a couple of web applications we’ve done for clients utilizing FileMaker Pro as the back end database engine.
When it comes to Claris FileMaker development, having a clear plan prior to development is definitely key. When communicating design concepts and generating ideas with a client during the early stages, having resources that make the process more efficient can be helpful. One tool that can be used to help with creating a blueprint of your database is wireframing.
